When you install the Reviewers.com app, Shopify shows you which access it requires before you approve it. We want you to know exactly what each permission covers and why we ask for it, so you can install with confidence.
What each permission covers

How we protect your store and data

As an app designed exclusively for Shopify, we're held to Shopify's data protection and app review standards, and we only request the access needed to run the features you choose to use. We don't share or sell your data, and we don't touch anything in your store beyond what we need to run your campaigns and collect your video reviews. You can also request permanent data deletion at any time.
Note: We only ever use the access you grant to run the features you turn on. Reviewers.com does not change your products, orders, or theme outside of the actions described in this article.
FAQs
Q: Why does Reviewers.com ask for Edit access instead of View only?
A: Shopify only offers View (read) or Edit (read and write) for each type of data. Reviewers.com needs to make changes across different areas of your store, and Edit is the level that covers those actions.
Q: Will Reviewers.com change my products, orders, or theme without telling me?
A: No. We only make changes that power the features you use, such as generating discount codes for an active product campaign. We don't edit your store outside of those actions.
Q: Is my customer data safe?
A: Yes. We use customer data only to provide the described functionality. The Reviewers.com app is regularly audited by Shopify to ensure we meet Shopify's data protection standards.
Q: Can I see which permissions I've granted after installing?
A: Yes. You can review them in your Shopify admin under your list of installed apps.
Q: What happens to my data if I uninstall Reviewers.com?
A: When uninstalling Reviewers.com, we retain your account's data (unless you request otherwise) so that your credits, reviews, and campaigns will all still be there if you decide to reinstall the app. You can request permanent data deletion at any time.
