What is Reviewers.com and how does it work?

Reviewers.com is a gifting platform that helps brands collect authentic, high-quality video reviews. You gift free products to our community of vetted Reviewers, and they share their honest experience in a video review you can use across your website, ads, and social channels.

How it works

Reviewers.com campaigns follow a straightforward process from setup to review collection:

  1. Create a campaign. Choose the product you want reviewed, name your campaign, and select whether to gift 5 or 10 items. One item is gifted to each participating Reviewer.
  2. Define your audience. Set your target Reviewer profile by age range and gender (currently we only have US-based Reviewers).
  3. Define review request timing. Decide when we'll send the Reviewers an email asking them to submit their video review. You can choose 1-30 days after purchase, fulfillment, or delivery (note that technical restrictions on delivery-based timing apply). For example, if your product is a type of accessory, you might want a review right away. If it's a cosmetic product, you might want to give the Reviewers a bit more time to get to use the product before leaving their review.
  4. Add screening questions (optional). Ask up to 3 yes/no qualifying questions to narrow down which Reviewers can participate in your campaign. For example, if you sell dog products, one question could be "Do you have a dog?" Anyone who answers "no" won't be able to claim your product.
  5. Write a brief (optional). Give Reviewers guidance on what to highlight in their video - like a specific feature, the unboxing experience, or mentioning your brand name.
  6. Submit for approval. Our team reviews every campaign before it goes live to ensure quality and a good experience for both brands and Reviewers.
  7. Campaign goes live. Once approved, your campaign is shared with all eligible Reviewers in our community via a daily digest email - not just the final 5/10 people who will participate in your campaign. This also helps you get more brand awareness.
  8. Orders and reviews come in. The first reviewers to qualify for your campaign claim your offer, order the product from your Shopify store using a 100% discount code, and submit their video review after receiving and trying your product.

Tip: You can identify Reviewers.com orders in your Shopify admin by looking for discount codes prefixed with "RVS-".

Note: Each campaign runs for up to 7 days or until all items are claimed, whichever comes first. You can run multiple campaigns at the same time.


What happens after your campaign goes live

Once your campaign is active, here's what to expect:

  • Qualifying Reviewers claim your offer and place an order on your Shopify store. You'll see these orders in your Shopify admin like any regular order, and you can fulfill them as you normally would
  • Review requests are sent automatically by Reviewers.com based on your timing settings
  • Video reviews come in as Reviewers receive the product and film and submit their honest feedback. Our AI system checks every submission for quality before it's approved
  • Reviews appear in your dashboard on the Manage Reviews page, where you can view and download them

Campaign statuses

As your campaign moves through the process, you'll see the following statuses appear on your Campaigns Page:

  • Pending - Your campaign is awaiting our team's review and scheduling
  • Approved - Our team has approved your campaign, and it will soon be sent to our community
  • Sent - Your campaign is live and has been shared with eligible Reviewers
  • Completed - All samples were claimed or the 7-day window ended. Reviews should start coming in soon
  • Rejected - Your campaign was not approved on our end- you'll receive an email with details about why it was rejected
  • Canceled - You canceled a pending campaign on your end
  • Unpaid - Your campaign is awaiting payment. Once paid, it moves to Pending
  • Paused - You paused the campaign. New Reviewers can't join until you resume it

Where to use your video reviews

You have full usage rights to every review collected through Reviewers.com. Here are some of the ways brands put them to work:

  • On product pages and review widgets
  • In paid ads on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • In email marketing campaigns
  • On social media posts and stories
  • In Google Shopping listings (reviews meet FTC compliance standards)

Note: If you're also using Loox, your Reviewers.com reviews sync to your Loox account automatically and appear in your Loox widgets alongside your other reviews.


FAQs

Q: How much does a campaign cost?

A: Your plan includes 1 campaign per billing cycle. Extra campaigns are $150 each. Learn more about pricing, credits, and charges.

Q: How many items can I gift per campaign?

A: You can choose to gift either 5 or 10 items per campaign. One item is gifted to each participating Reviewer.

Q: Can I run multiple campaigns at the same time?

A: Yes. You can have several campaigns running simultaneously for different products. Contact our support team to ask about bundled pricing.

Q: How long does a campaign run?

A: Campaigns run for up to 7 days or until all items are claimed, whichever comes first. They can't be extended, but you can create a new campaign at any time.

Q: Can I edit a campaign after creating it?

A: Campaigns can't be edited after creation. You can cancel a Pending campaign and create a new one instead. Active campaigns can be paused and resumed.

Q: Do I need to use Shopify?

A: Yes. Reviewers.com is built for Shopify and requires Shopify Checkout.

Q: Will Reviewers.com promote my campaign?

A: We always send out your campaign to every member of our Reviewers community who matches your criteria. Additionally, we may feature your campaign on the Reviewers.com Instagram page (@reviewerscom) or in other marketing materials.

Q: Can I select which Reviewers participate in my campaigns?

A: You can choose the gender and age of your Reviewers, and you can also set up screening questions (see step 4 in the "How it works" section) to narrow down which Reviewers can participate in your campaign.

Q: What if there aren't enough reviewers to fit my audience requirements?

A: We have thousands of vetted and approved Reviewers, so there's generally plenty of available Reviewers competing to join your campaign. However, if you set very strict screening questions, it's possible you won't get enough matches to fill every slot of your campaign. In cases of a low match rate, we will automatically return your campaign credit to your account and email you to let you know.
